Violet Albrecht Photo (2)Violet Rebecca Albrecht was born December 19, 1927 in Ashley, North Dakota to Gotthilf and Emma Reile, she passed away peacefully on March 1, 2017 in Lodi, California she was 89. Violet was raised and educated in Ashley, ND., where she met and married her late husband Richard Henry Albrecht in 1948, the couple made their home on the family farm until moving to Lodi in 1955. Once in Lodi Violet worked as a waitress at the Broiler, Hellwigs, and finally Woolworth’s for more than 25 years. She was a lifetime member of Emanuel Lutheran Church who also enjoyed cooking, Bingo, and travel, sometimes making trips to Jackson. Her true joy was spending time with family, especially her granddaughter and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; Gotthilf and Emma Reile, husband; Richard Albrecht, and her brother Ray Reile. Violet is survived by her daughters; Paulette Gaut (Greg) of Bend, Oregon, Elaine Dement ( Dennis) of Auburn, CA., and Sharon White (Will) of Lodi, CA., granddaughter; Michelle Lee of Lodi, 3 great-grandchildren, brothers; Otto Reile of Bismark, ND and Wayne Reile, Redding, CA. and her sister, DeLoris Kusler of Lodi. Friends may visit on Wednesday, March 15th from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Donahue Funeral Home, 123 N School Street, and are invited to attend Funeral Services on Thursday, March 16th at 12:00 p.m. at Emanuel Lutheran Church 1540 W. Lodi Ave., with burial at Lodi Memorial Cemetery to follow. Pastor Chris Townsend of Emanuel Lutheran Church will officiate.
